Taylor Swift, the rarest pop sensation, is one who was able to transcend between the genres of country and mainstream pop culture, becoming an iconic figure in the pop world. She also conquered every continent in the process. Swift has thrown off her country roots like it were a second-skin revealing herself to be the smartest pop singer/songwriter within her generation. Swift is able to tap into the current trend and make it her unique. The skills she displayed could be seen in the first songs she released, most notably the neodue Tim McGraw. But on her second album Fearless which came out in 2008, Swift discovered who she is and find an audience that was large. Fearless was a huge success not only in the United States and six of the singles have been declared platinum, on top of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and Belong with Me. But the album also enjoyed a great reception across all over the world. Swift's Speak Now album released two years ago was a continuation of her earlier successes, propelling Swift into the spotlight. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, the popularity of Swift grew, and she was able to enter a world of pop music in which it became clear she belonged. Even though she had slowed her work with folklore and Evermore albums in the year 2020, she was at the forefront of pop music.
