Zoe Saldana (born June 19, 1978) was the daughter of Asalia Saldana & Aridio Saldana in Passaic New Jersey. Her father was Dominican while her mother was Puerto Rican. Her parents raised her in Queens, New York. The family she was born into went to Dominican Republic at the age of 10, and there they would stay for the rest of seven years. Zoe began to develop a fascination for dancing while in the Dominican Republic.
