Maria Brink
Maria Brink, born December 18th, 1977 was an American musician and singer. She is most well-known as the frontwoman of In This Moment. In This Moment has released seven albums and earned four nominations from the Alternative Press Music Awards. Additionally, Brink was named "Rock Goddess of the Year" as well as "Hottest Chick" in Metal in the fifth (2013) and the fifth (2015) Annual Loudwire Music Awards. Brink is one of the 11 women from heavy rock that matter to Yell! Revolver Magazine named Brink one of the "25 most hot girls in Hard Rock & Metal" in 2012. She relocated to Los Angeles in 2002 at 25 to join an act. Prior to that she worked in retail and performed in coffee shops and bars. She came across Chris Howorth, now a part of the group, during an audition in 2004. Howorth initially turned down Brink due to her being female. Howorth apologized after two weeks and then hired Brink to sing. They created Dying Star with Jeff Fabb as their drummer. Then, Blake Bunzel and Josh Newell joined the group as guitarists. The group was later renamed In This Moment.
